Welcome to the latest edition of Pitchfork's Guest List. Each week, we'll ask one of our favorite artists to fill us in on what they've been up to lately: which tracks they can't stop spinning, what books they can't put down, and what new bands they've caught on tour. This week it's Gregg Gillis, aka Girl Talk, the mashup masta not-a-DJ, who enthuses over Christina Aguilera, reps for Dan Deacon's live set, and explains why he wants to learn to play guitar.

>> Best Show This Year

Dan Deacon/ The Death Set, Arrow Gallery, Pittsburgh

I saw a guy by the name of Dan Deacon and a band called The Death Set at the Arrow Gallery in Pittsburgh. It was great. The Death Set were just quick, noisy, and fast. It was a pretty low-attended show, but that lended to how fun it was. By the time Dan Deacon came on, there were about 10 non-touring people at the show. And he made everyone stand in a single-file line in front of the stage at one point. And for another song, he asked everyone to cram into a back corner-- all 10 of them-- while he played about 30 feet away. And then he led a whole bunch of call-and-response routines that took about five minutes for him to explain exactly what everyone would be doing. It was 10 people hanging out in this small basement show, with one guy performing, and he's kind of breaking down every barrier of what was a performance and what wasn't. I really like his music, and I think he's great, but this particular show was extremely awkward and amazing.
